The Brazilian government responded to the insults hurled this Tuesday by the President of Argentina, Javier Milei.
On his social media accounts, the Argentine leader criticized the actions taken by the Brazilian government, specifically the reduction of the workweek.
The fraud narrative had previously been used by Fernando Cerimedo, an Argentine strategist who worked on several far-right campaigns across Latin America. Cerimedo is currently jailed in Bolivia for the attempted murder of his former partner. However, she claims that the Argentine’s team continues to operate.
Unsurprisingly, a widespread lobbying operation targeting dozens of governments worldwide has taken place in recent months. The goal is to ensure that the Brazilian process is validated and, at the same time, expose far-right governments that choose to reject Lula as president.
